Lonza™ BioWhittaker™ L-Glutamine (200mM)
Description
- Required for cell culture growth
- Normal concentration of L-glutamine in media is 292mg/L or 2mM
- L-glutamine is not stable for long periods of time unless it is frozen
- Material should be aliquoted to smaller volumes and then frozen
- Stability of L-glutamine in culture medium is primarily dependent on the temperature at which it is stored
- Lonza test data for long-term storage indicates that the L-glutamine concentration is reduced by approximately 2 to 3% per month in tissue culture medium stored at 2° to 8°C
- Basal medium containing L-glutamine supports cell growth for up to 24 months when stored in refrigerated conditions
